Understanding the role

What Does an Estate Field Services Coordinator Do?

An estate field-services coordinator provides local, physical, and administrative support under the authorized client’s direction. It is a service role, not a court appointment or licensed professional title.

01

The coordinator documents and facilitates

Typical work includes property visits, photographs, descriptive inventories, key logs, approved vendor access, cleanout observation, shipment coordination, receipts, and progress reports.

02

The executor or administrator decides

The court-appointed representative controls estate decisions, funds, debts, distributions, contracts, and disposition of property, usually with advice from an attorney and other professionals.

03

The coordinator connects the work

The coordinator can organize the field process around attorneys, brokers, appraisers, inspectors, engineers, contractors, plumbers, electricians, cleaners, movers, and other specialists. Each regulated service is performed by the appropriately qualified professional.

04

Why the separation matters

A clearly limited role reduces conflicts, protects confidential information, and lets each professional focus on the work they are qualified and authorized to perform.
